My first look at The Mount in Mt Holly.
•The Old Springfield Meeting House was used as a hospital for the Hessian soldiers on December 23, 1776. During the battle of Petticoat Bridge, which is located about 1.5 miles away from the Meeting House.
•Also, 20,000 British soldiers and loyalists passed by here on June 22, 1778.
•It was also known as Copany Meeting House.
•A recently found 3 pound cannonball created this hole in the brick. December 23, 1776.
This Meeting House sits on Jacksonville/Jobstown Road and is privately owned.
