This button is from the British Army's 63rd regiment of foot. It was lost during the evacuation of Philadelphia in June 1778. The only time the 63rd were in Burlington County.
The 63rd was with the 5TH BRIGADE Brigadier- under General Hon. Alexander Leslie.
The 63rd was led by Lt.-Col. James Paterson, who had 305 troops.
